One of the most cherished legacies Gaylord Nelson left to the state of Wisconsin was winning federal protection for some of the state's most beloved landscapes. This video clip describes his fight for the creation of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and for the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway.
